This is for the 23-year-old on Periscope who asked me how to find their purpose.  And, you.

Purpose

It is a hard thing to figure out, but when you finally figure out your purpose, your life will never be the same. (If you have been following me for a while, you know I talk a great deal about passion and purpose.) I am on a mission to make sure we are all living our best lives.  And to do that, you must know your why. Or, as I call it, your purpose<.

Part of showing up in life is knowing why you are here.

To be our best selves requires us to be mindful of our why, our reach, and our influence. No more wandering through life. You must be willing to focus to accomplish purpose. You do need a little passion as well. Never fear! All of this comes as you experience life.

Passion

We all can be passionate about many things. I know I am. But sometimes our passion isn’t the same as our purpose. What do we do then? Well, you and I should keep living, searching, and enjoying life. For me, I woke up one day and knew it was time to share my story to help others. Within that purpose lies passion. When people ask me about my business, I light up and I go on and on… and on. 🙂 That is when you know! You tell everyone about it! You wake up thinking about it. You would and sometimes do it for free. Passion! It is a powerful thing.

So, my three cents are!

When passion and purpose collide, you have the secret sauce. You have your why and the fuel to get you through. Don’t get down if you don’t know yet. Just keep showing up, living and being authentically you. Life will let you know!
